A very nice early Moorcroft taza with pewter planished affect stand. The ceramic plate is the pomegranate design, the underside has full Moorcroft signature and it is stamped Made in England. AUSTRIAN 1930's COLD PAINTED WHITE METAL FIGURE OF THE FENCER BY JOSEF LORENZL.

Fine quality hand painted figure of the fencer by Josef Lorenzl, the figure is unsigned as this model always is but it is attributed to Lorenzl. The detail to the figure is exceptional and it is fitted to a white marble base. Joseph Lorenzl was born in Austria in 1892, he worked as a metal work artist in the Vienna and died in 1950. The jugs are produced in a blue and brown glaze and they depict the Allied leaders, Fieldmarshall Haig, Admiral Beatty, General Fosch and President Wilson. Each jugs features a detailed medallion of the war leaders with his title. Size approcamatly 7 inches or 18cm. Each jug is marked on the base with Doulton factory marks. Circa 1920.
