RARE ENGLISH EARLY HALF SIZE SEALED MALLET WINE BOTTLE.
This is a very early example of a transitional form of onion shape to the mallet form of wine bottle and which still has a fairly rounded base, the bottle dates to approximately 1740's. The bottle measures just under 7 inches in height. Fine dark green glass with excellent original gloss, large seal to the front of the bottle with owners initials PHA. Attractive string rim lip with a couple of very small and insignificant chips probably from decorking but no other chips, cracks or damage. Large pontil mark to the base of the bottle. A very attractive early sealed wine bottle and being extra rare in this small size.

COBALT BLUE GLASS HAMILTON BOTTLE.
A very nice and rare dark blue glass Victorian hamilton bottle, the bottle is embossed, GILPIN & CO, 137 PILGRIM ST, NEWCASTLE ON TYNE, ESTABLISHED 1790. The bottle dates to about 1870 and was used for mineral water, aqua glass hamilton bottles are fairly common but blue glass examples are extremely rare as they were used by only a few company's in this colour glass. This example is especially nice as it has never been cleaned, it has some slight wear to the glass and a small scratch to the lip but over all it is extremely nice with no chips, cracks or repairs.

A good 6oz example of this scarce mineral water bottle with codd top and hamilton point base. The bottle is embossed, DENNIFORDS, SODA WATER, RUSSELL STREET, PLYMOUTH, i do not recall seeing a hybrid from this company before. The bottle has probably been cleaned in the past, it is now in sparkling condition, there are a few marks to the base of the bottle which look almost like crazing, they are just on the surface and do not go into the glass, they look worse in the photographs because of the camera flash but they are not really noticeable untill carefully examined.
