SILVER TOP GLASS BOTTLE WITH GROTESQUE FACE ON LID.

High quality cut glass bottle with silver lop with grotesque face displayed in the lid, the eye sockets are actually inset with two small dark stones. Silver marks for London 1895 with makers initials. Small dent to the side of the silver lid and small bruise to the base of the glass bottle. The face depicted on the lid is very reminiscent to those which are seen on the Martin Brothers face jugs and it also dates from the same period as those. Most unusual. I have never seen another.
