CASED SILVER PRESENTATION LEICESTER TROWEL. A very nice full size silver hall marked trowel,engraved,TO THOMAS BROWN ESQUIRE,FOR HIS USE IN LAYING A MEMORIAL STONE IN THE NEW CLASS ROOMS,MELBOURNE HALL LEICESTER,JUNE 13TH 1901.The trowel also features the makers name close to the black ebony handle.The reverse side of the trowel features the English silver hall mark for Birmingham 1901,the hall mark is a little worn especially the year letter.Complete with original black leatherette box with blue silk lining which is recessed for the trowel and with a Leicester makers trade label to the inside of the lid.Very nice large decorative and impressive item. [Condition: Near Mint]

PEARS SOAP ADVERTISING FIGURE,YOU DIRTY BOY. Superb shop advertising figure standing at over 17 inches in total height.This large figure features an old lady washing a very unenthusiastic young boy,at there feet stands bowl of soapy water,the figures stands on a ornate base with black title,YOU DIRTY BOY.This figure is modeled on the well known pears Soap advertising print,one of a number of prints that Pears produced in the Victorian period to advertise there products.The figure is produced in a white composition material and then colored to give it an alabaster apearence.The base of the figure features a stamped manufactures or artists mark,which appears to be Rocksy.There are a few small chips to the figure mostly to the base. Although Torquay ware is fairly common and inexpensive,military or Royal commemorative items from this factory are very rare.Stonware mug featuring the raised design of a British soldier in full uniform holding riffle & standing on grassland with mountain to the background,with inscription,GOD BLESS YOU TOMMY ATKINS,HERES YOUR COUNTRYS LOVE TO YOU,SOUTH AFRICA 1899-1900.Base pottery marked ALLER VALE.Hight just under four inches. ENGLISH BLUE AND WHITE STONWARE INVALID FEEDER. A superb blue and white stoneware Staffordshire under glaze transferred printed pap boat (invalid or baby feeder) dating from the 1820/40 period.The pap boat is beautifully transferred printed with various classical scenes.The base of the boat is marked with a blue numeral 2.There are two tiny little hair line glaze cracks on the opposite side to the handel,at least one of these appears to be a manufacturing flaw,very minor,but I feel that I must mention it. [Condition: Exc++]

PAIR OF OSBOURN WALL PLAQUES OF ENGLISH CASTLES. Pair of Osbourn three dimensional plaques produced in the early part of the 20th century in a type of substance to simulate ivory.The plaques are fully colored one of which depicts Windsor castle and the other one depicts the Tower of London.Reverse side of one of the plaques is marked,A.Osbourne 1906 copyright.Price is for the pair but I would consider splitting them if required.
