DOULTON ARTWARE MINERAL WATER ADVERTISING BARREL. A superb advertising stonware barrel standing at 10 inches in total height.Blue central band with raised description of original contents,CLOVES,flanked by green bands with decorative flower designs.Complete with brass tap.Base marked Royal Doulton England,artists initials HH,above this is stamped,THIS IS THE PROPERTY OF H.D.RAWLINGS LTD (a well known Victorian/Edwardian mineral water manufacturer).A very nice excample,mostly examples seen are for ginger wine it is unusual to find an examples for Cloves and especially nice with the advertising for Rawlings. [Condition: Mint]

DOULTON ARTWARE WATER FILTER. A very nice Doulton Victorian water filter produced in a very nice blue and brown glaze,central decoration of large ornate and elaborate stars with bands above and below of small flowers and shell designs.Complete with original decorative lid and removable matching tap.The rim of filter is stamped,DOULTON LAMBETH 1883,base of filter and underside of lid is stamped with artists initials ES,probabley Elisa Simance.Height 12 inches. Codd bottles with green lips are the hardest of the 3 colors to find (green,amber blue).A very nice 10oz codd bottle with a dark emerald green lip,the bottle is embossed,OLDHAM AERATED WATER CO LIMITED,with a large picture of a sitting owl.The reverse side of the bottle is embossed,CODDS PATENT 4 MAKERS DAN RYLANDS BARNSLEY.Superb mint example. A good 10oz size Reliance patent codd bottle with dark cobalt blue lip.The bottle is embossed,CRESSWELL SMETHWICK,TRADE MARK REGISTERED,picture of a large chemist bottle.The reverse side of the bottle is embossed,RELIANCE PATENT,SOLE MAKER DAN RYLANDS BARNSLEY.Scarce blue lip,especially nice being a reliance patent.The bottle has been expertly cleaned in the past. DOBSON BULB PATENT CODD BOTTLE. A good 10oz aqua colored codd bottle,very unusual patent with a bulb neck featuring four Dobson retaining dimples.The bottle is embossed,PHILPOTT 1898 RAMSGATE,with entwined initials TM.The reverse side of the bottle is embossed,J.W.DOBSON PATENT BARNSLEY.Unusual codd bottle,Philpott is the only company that I know of that used a combined Dobson bulb patent.The bottle has been cleaned in the past to a very high standard. A very nice 10oz size emerald green Niagara patent (four retaining lugs in neck rather the standard two) codd bottle.The bottle is embossed,THE EREWASH VALLEY BREWERY LIMITED ILKESTONE,the reverse side is heavily embossed with a large picture of an animals head with an arrow in its mouth.The base of the bottle is embossed,BREFFITS LTD MAKERS CASTLEFORD,THE NIAGARA BOTTLE RD 65433 6453.The bottle is produced in a very deep emerald green glass.The bottle has probably been expertly cleaned in the past but to a very high standard.A very nice example,a difficult to find pictorial colored codd patent.
